One of the greatest compliments we receive from guests is, “You thought of everything!”

A well-stocked vacation rental isn’t simply a home filled with things. Too little, too much, or the wrong items can all create problems.
After hosting since 2016, we’ve learned that every item in a vacation rental should earn its place. Is it genuinely useful to guests? Will it hold up to frequent use? Is it easy to clean, store, replace, and maintain? Most importantly, does it make turnover simpler and more efficient for the cleaners?
We carefully consider guest experience, usability, durability, style, function, and ease of turnover when deciding what belongs in a home.
We’ve learned many of these lessons through experience, and we’re sharing the products we’ve come to know and love so you can avoid some of the common pitfalls and create a home that feels thoughtful, complete, and easy to maintain.

Choose a size appropriate for how many guests your home sleeps.

A note about our recommendations: We only recommend products that we genuinely use and love in our own vacation rentals. We don’t add a product because a company asks us to, and whether or not an affiliate link is available never determines what we recommend. If we happen to be able to earn a small commission through an affiliate link, great—but our recommendations come first.
Some of the links on this page are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you.
